Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder is the last of a series of four straight-to-DVD Futurama movies.he movie was written by Ken Keeler, based on a story by Keeler and David X. Cohen, and directed by Peter Avanzino. Guest stars include Phil Hendrie, Penn Jillette (credited with Teller), Snoop Dogg and Seth MacFarlane, who sings the theme song.In the movie, Leela becomes an outlaw when she and a group of ecologically-minded feminists attempt to save an asteroid of primitive life forms from being destroyed, while Fry joins a secret society and attempts to stop a mysterious species known as the "Dark Ones" from destroying all life in the universe.

Plot Synopsis in Full;

The Planet Express crew visits Amy's parents, Leo and Inez, who are destroying the "old" Mars Vegas and constructing a more extravagant one. A group of eco-feminists led by Frida Waterfall protest the destruction of the environment, leading to an accident wherein a piece of Frida's jewelry lodges inside Fry's brain. The destruction upsets Leela, but Leo has received clearance from a bribed Professor Farnsworth. Leela saves a Martian muck leech, the last of its species, from the site.

In new Mars Vegas, Fry starts to go mad when he can't stop hearing the thoughts of everyone around him. Outside he meets Hutch, a transient who advises Fry to wear a tin foil hat to keep others' thoughts out of his head. Hutch warns Fry never to reveal his powers and to beware the "Dark Ones". Fry and Bender enter a professional game of poker with hopes of winning the grand prize, Bender using luck while Fry uses his telepathy. Bender wins due to a mix up that results in him getting "five kings".

While golfing with the crew, Leo reveals he plans to build the universe's largest miniature golf course, destroying 12% of the galaxy in the process. Farnsworth and the crew survey the site and discover an asteroid in a violet dwarf star system, teeming with primordial life. Over Leela and Fry's objections, Farnsworth approves Leo?s project. Disgusted, Leela joins the eco-feminists, who begin sabotaging the project

Hutch introduces Fry to the "Legion of Mad Fellows", a secret society of tin foil hat-wearing telepaths led by the Number 9 man. No. 9 tells Fry a story of two species that worked together to survive, until one broke the cycle and caused an "evolutionary arms race", both species evolving to defeat the other. One became the extinct "Encyclopods" who evolved to preserve the DNA of endangered species so they could be restored should they become extinct. The other became the "Dark Ones", who want to destroy all life. Fry learns that the violet dwarf is the only surviving egg of the Encyclopods. Due to a resurgence in the life-giving force "Chi", the Encyclopod will soon be reborn. As Fry is immune to the Dark Ones' psionic powers he alone can stop Leo Wong's plans to turn it into a black hole as a golf ball return, and from the Dark Ones, who have continued evolving to the point that no one knows what they look like.

Leo enlists Zapp Brannigan and Kif Kroker to capture the eco-feminists, they in turn hire Bender to track them down. Fry infiltrates Leo's empire as a security guard. Amy is angered by her father's sexist jokes and joins Leela, while Bender bugs Fry's phone in case he communicates with Leela. Fry runs into Frida and has her take a message of support to Leela, but an unseen Dark One murders Frida.

Farnsworth prepares to close Planet Express for good; with their delievery team missing they cannot continue. Leo Wong calls and hires them to put up a fence around the construction site. Farnsworth cancels the closing and goes with Zoidberg and Hermes to do the job themselves. They are captured by the eco-feminists, who commandeer the Planet Express ship. When the eco-feminists suspect Fry of murdering Frida, Fry and Leela arrange a rendezvous. They are ambushed by the Nimbus, which was tipped off by Bender, who listened in on Fry's conversation. The eco-feminists are put on trial and imprisoned.

At a Legion meeting, No. 9 explains that Fry must stop the implosion of the violet dwarf and thwart the Dark One who is sure to be present. Though no one knows the Dark One's form, its mind cannot be read, allowing Fry to identify it. No. 9 gives Fry the Omega Device, which when activated will temporarily disable the Dark One at close range.

Bender frees the eco-feminists from prison in order to uphold his record for most crimes committed at once. Hermes, Zoidberg, Scruffy and a repentant Farnsworth rescue them using the Planet Express ship.

At the ceremony Fry cannot locate an unreadable mind in the audience; he concludes that he must be the Dark One. The Eco-Feminists disrupt the ceremony, but Fry convinces Leela to let him proceed. Fry activates the Omega Device, which creates a small dome around the two that appears to have no effect. Leela's leech falls to the ground and reveals itself to be the final Dark One. The violet dwarf system forms a giant sperm and flies into the star, creating an Encyclopod embryo which quickly reaches adult form. It takes the form of a stingray with a nature dome on its back. The Dark One kills Hutch, whose dying act is to pull Frida's necklace out of Fry's forehead, causing Fry to lose his telepathy. The Encyclopod kills the Dark One. Fry convinces it to take the Dark One's DNA, but Zoidberg eats the remains before it can. The Encyclopod preserves Hutch's DNA before leaving.

The crew of the Planet Express ship and the Eco-feminists escape. Fry and Leela profess their love for each other as the Nimbus chases the Planet Express ship toward a wormhole, which the Professor warns could take them trillions of light years away. Everyone unanimously agrees to go for it. Fry and Leela kiss as the ship enters the wormhole.

Clint Eastwood is one of the Coolest "actors who cant act" ever in my book. Clint doesn't need to know how to act. His steely gaze and gaunt chiselled face has graced many a spaghetti western without even the need for a name to the character he played (hence his dominion of public association with the phrase "The Man With No Name"). The Man With No Name is a Marketed phrase used by the Spaghetti Western Industry, but Clint just took it as if it was his trademark (it was). Here's what Wikipedia has to say about this phrase;

"The Man With No Name (Italian: Uomo senza nome) is a stock character in western films, but the term usually applies specifically to the character (or possibly characters) played by American actor Clint Eastwood in what is often called "The Dollars Trilogy" directed by Sergio Leone."

Apart from his rise to Immensity as the Nameless Stranger in the Spaghetti Western series which has impregnated our lives so much, Clint Eastwood is also predominantly present in our minds as the vigilante cop with a vengeance; "Dirty Harry. Harry is an inimitable and idiosyncratic character whom i belive could not have been played by anyone else but Eastwood. A psychopath in his own manner, Harry's cool stonefaced killer instinct is allowed to express itself by inflicting death on the cold-blooded criminals who inhabit the plots of the Dirty Harry movies. I believe that the technique of using "Justified Violence" used by the Movie Industry to make killing seem ok (so long as the person fying "deserves it"), came tomaturity with the Dirty Harry saga.

In late 1963, an offer was made to Eastwood's co-star Eric Fleming on Rawhide to star in an Italian made western, originally to be named The Magnificent Stranger (A Fistful of Dollars) to be directed in a remote region of Spain by a relative unknown at the time, Sergio Leone. However, the money was not much, and Fleming always set his sights high on Hollywood stardom, and rejected the offer immediately

A variety of actors, including Charles Bronson, Steve Reeves, Richard Harrison, Frank Wolfe, Henry Fonda, James Coburn and Ty Hardin were considered for the main part in the film, and the producers established a list of lesser-known American actors, and asked the aforementioned Richard Harrison for advice. Harrison had suggested Clint Eastwood, whom he knew could play a cowboy convincingly. Harrison later said: "Maybe my greatest contribution to cinema was not doing Fistful of Dollars, and recommending Clint for the part.

Hang 'Em High (1968)

Oklahoma. 1873. Jed Cooper (Clint Eastwood), mistaken for a rustler and killer, is lynched on the spot by crooked lawman Captain Wilson (Ed Begley) and a rampaging band of vigilantes. Jed Cooper is accused by nine men of killing one of their neighbors and stealing his cattle. When he fails to convince them of his innocence, they hang him. Fortunately, there is a U.S. Marshal in the area and he saves Cooper, who is then brought to Fort Grant for trial. Eventually, it is discovered that the man Cooper bought the cattle from was, in fact, the killer. Cooper is released, but still wants to get the nine men who hung him. The judge warns Cooper about taking the law into his own hands, who responds by saying that he knows the law, being a former lawman. The judge then offers Cooper a job as a Marshal. Cooper, while in a town picking up a prisoner, discovers one of the nine men and kills him after he draws on Cooper. When he returns to Fort Grant, Cooper learns that another member of the mob has turned himself in after learning of Cooper's innocence. He provides Cooper with the names of the rest and Cooper leaves to round them up. On his way to bring in the lynchers, Cooper is sidetracked by a report of another rustling and murder. Upon finding the rustlers, one of whom was in the posse that lynched Cooper, the posse wants to lynch them, but Cooper insists that they need to be tried and is left to bring them in on his own. Following a difficult road back to Fort Grant, the remaining members of the posse that hung him try to buy him off, then decide that the only way they can live free is to finish the job and kill him.

Using humiliation and cat and mouse type of games against Callahan, Scorpio is put to the test with the cop with a dirty attitude.

Dirty Harry

Scorpio, a serial killer. Eastwood's iconic portrayal of the blunt-speaking, unorthodox detective set the style for a number of his subsequent roles, and the box-office success of the film led to the production of four equally successful sequels. The "alienated cop" motif was one subsequently imitated by a number of other films. This film features Eastwood intoning "You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?" (The line is often misquoted as "Do you feel lucky, punk?")

This movie became iconic, mirrored by other movies, especially the rest of the Dirty Harry films, because it was a portrayal of social protests, pointing out that it was easier for the justice system to protect potential suspects ahead of enforcing the rights of victims while ignoring citizens who were in danger or who had been murdered. It was the sixth-highest grossing film of 1971 after Fiddler on the Roof, Billy Jack, French Connection, Summer of '42, and Diamonds Are Forever.

Magnum Force (1973), directed by Ted Post. The main theme of this film is vigilante justice, and the plot revolves around a group of renegade traffic cops who are executing criminals who have avoided conviction in court. Despite Harry's penchant for strong-arm methods, he does not tolerate coldblooded murder of the accused and resolves to stop the killers. In this film Harry's catch-phrase is "A man's got to know his limitations." Although a box-office success like its predecessor, the film was given negative publicity due to the tone of violence. It was the sixth-highest grossing film of 1973 and a commercial hit.

Second of four sequels to the movie "Dirty Harry

The Enforcer (1976), directed by James Fargo. In this film, Harry is teamed up with an inexperienced female partner Kate Moore (Tyne Daly), and takes on a terrorist ring calling themselves The People's Revolutionary Strike Force. The film contains feminist themes and is generally considered more "politically correct" than its predecessor.
Harry opposes introducing inexperienced inspectors to the dangers of police work, whether male or female, and sees the homicide department as too dangerous for his new partner, who worked until recently in Records. He has nothing against female police officers; he simply feels that Moore is too green. However, "by the book" Inspector Moore, though starting out overenthusiastic, proves herself valuable, and matures quickly, earning Harry's respect in the process.

By the time this film was released, the Dirty Harry series had gained attention and critical admiration, such that the makers of The Enforcer knew they had a bankable movie on their hands. With the depiction of a female inspector as Harry's partner and its realistic portrayal of the dangers of police work, this movie was a huge hit, appealing to both men and women, and it holds up today as one of the best in the series.

The film's plot revolves around an aging, but still bitter "Dirty" Harry Callahan being sent to a small town to follow up a lead in a murder case, which leads him directly to a rape victim who is out to avenge herself and her catatonic sister by killing the people who sexually assaulted them. The Dead Pool (1988), directed by Buddy Van Horn. In the final film of the series, Harry finds out about a game called Dead Pool, in which people bet on which celebrity will die next. Eventually, someone tries to rig the game by killing certain celebrities. The film was not a commercial success, and it remains the final entry in the series due to Eastwood's refusal to reprise the character, feeling his age would make Harry a parody. Ironically, Clint Eastwood's age in this film is close to the age Dirty Harry was supposed to be in the original movie.

Glengarry Glen Ross is a 1992 independent film, adapted by David Mamet from his acclaimed 1984 Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning play of the same name. The film depicts two days in the lives of four real estate agents and how they become desperate when the corporate office sends a representative to "motivate" them by announcing that, in one week, all except the top two salesmen will be fired. The film, like the play, is notorious for its use of profanity, leading the cast to jokingly refer to the film as "Death of a Fuckin' Salesman".The actual title of the film comes from the names of two of the real estate developments being peddled by the salesmen characters (Glengarry Highlands and Glen Ross Farms).

Glengarry Glen Ross had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival where Jack Lemmon won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor. The film was not a commercial success, only making $10.7 million in North America, just below its $12.5 million budget. It was critically well-received with highly positive reviews by most of the major critics. Al Pacino was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his work in the film.

The film depicts two days in the lives of four real estate agents, who, supplied with names and phone numbers of potential clients (leads) employ unethical tactics in order to "close" real estate deals. It is made clear from the start that many of the "leads" rationed out by the office manager are poor, the individuals listed lacking either the money, or the desire to actually invest in land. Early in the movie Blake (Alec Baldwin) is sent by Mitch and Murray (the faceless owners of the real estate office in which the main characters work), to motivate them by announcing, in a torrent of verbal abuse, that only the top two sellers will be allowed the more promising "Glengarry" leads, everyone else will be fired. Shelley Levene (Jack Lemmon), a salesman in a long running slump with a sick daughter knows that he will lose his job soon if he cannot generate sales. He tries to convince office manager John Williamson (Kevin Spacey) to give him some of the "Glengarry" leads. Williamson refuses. Levene tries first to charm Williamson, then to threaten him, and finally to bribe him. Williamson is willing to sell some of the prime leads, but demands cash in advance. Levene cannot come up with the cash and must leave without any good leads to work with.
Dave Moss (Ed Harris) and George Aaronow (Alan Arkin) are complaining about Mitch and Murray. Moss proposes that they strike back at Mitch and Murray by stealing all the Glengarry leads and sell them to a competing real estate agency. Moss's plan would require Aaronow to break into the office, stage a burglary, and steal all the prime leads. Aaronow wants no part of the plan, but Moss tries to coerce him, saying that Aaronow is already an accomplice simply because he knows about the proposed robbery. Ricky Roma (Al Pacino), the office's top "closer," delivers a long, disjointed but compelling monologue to a meek, middle-aged man named James Lingk (Jonathan Pryce). Roma does not broach the subject of a real estate deal until he has completely won Lingk over with his speech. Framing it as being "an opportunity" rather than a purchase, Roma plays upon Lingk's feelings of complacency and insecurity. The next day, the salesmen come into work to find that the office has been burglarized and the Glengarry leads have been stolen as well. Williamson and the police question each of the salesmen in private. After his interrogation, Moss leaves in disgust, only after having one explosive last encounter with Roma.

During the cycle of interrogations, Lingk arrives to tell Roma that his wife has told him to cancel the deal. Scrambling to salvage the deal, Roma tries to deceive Lingk by telling him that the check he wrote the night before has yet to be cashed, and that accordingly he has time to reason with his wife and reconsider. All the while, Levene abets Roma by claiming to be a wealthy investor and friend of Roma's who just happens to be on his way to the airport , and is dependant on Roma for a ride. Williamson?unaware of Roma and Levene's stalling tactic?lies to Lingk claiming that he already deposited his check in the bank. Upset, Lingk rushes out of the office, threatening to contact the state's attorney, and Roma berates Williamson for what he has done. Roma then enters Williamson's office to take his turn being interrogated by the police, and Levene, proud of a sale he made that morning, takes the opportunity to mock Williamson in private. In his zeal to emasculate Williamson as Williamson has done to him, Levene inadvertently reveals that he knows Williamson left Lingk's check on his desk and did not make the bank run the previous night; something only the man who broke into the office would know. Williamson catches Levene's slip-up quickly and compels Levene to admit that he broke into the office. Levene eventually breaks down and admits that he and Moss conspired to steal the leads to give to a competitor. Williamson reveals to Levene that the buyers to whom he made the sale early that day are in fact crazy and have no money, and that he has no interest in helping Levene for the simple reason that Williamson dislikes him. The film ends as Levene walks, defeated, into Williamson's office where the police are waiting. Unaware of Levene's guilt, Roma walks out of the office for lunch and Aaronow continues his sales calls as usual.

Lemmon said of his character, "Shelly's actions question where the morals and ethics are in America and how they have eroded in the quest for success".
Al Pacino as Ricky Roma: He is the most successful salesman in the office. He is ruthless, dishonest and immoral, but succeeds because he has a talent for figuring out a client's weaknesses and crafting a pitch that will exploit those weaknesses.
Ed Harris as Dave Moss: He is a big-mouthed salesman with big dreams and ambitions. Harris describes his character as "the kind of guy who, when anything's wrong, it's not him. Blames everybody else".
Alan Arkin as George Aaronow: He is an aging and nervous salesman with low self-esteem who lacks confidence and hope. Despite this, he means well.
Kevin Spacey as John Williamson: He is the office manager. The salesmen despise Williamson, but need him because he is the one who hands out the sales leads. Spacey saw his character as "the catalyst for events, since people are either struggling for or against him".
Alec Baldwin as Blake: He is brought in by Mitch and Murray to motivate the salesmen in a ruthless manner; this character was created for the film and did not appear in the stage version.
Jonathan Pryce as James Lingk: He is a timid, middle-aged man who becomes Roma's latest client. Lingk is easily manipulated.
Jude Ciccolella as the police detective.
Bruce Altman has a brief role as an uninterested customer for Levene.

Simon, a 17-year old trust fund baby (Logan Lerman), controls Kable (Gerard Butler), the online champion of the game, having won 27 matches and lived through them all. Slayers and Society are hugely popular, making Castle the richest man in America within a matter of weeks. However, Castle's organization is the target of a activist group called Humanz, who claim the nanite technology has a more ominous purpose. When a virus hacks into the video mainstreams broadcasting a message from the elusive rebel group, Simon is offered the chance to communicate with Kable while in-game, which is not allowed. After a stranger gives Kable a warning that the game's mastermind plans to kill him, Kable asks Simon to relinquish control and uses the opportunity to escape.

Jennifer's Body - A Tongue in Cheek Teen Horror Movie (2009)

Jennifer's Body is a 2009 dark comedy and horror film written by Diablo Cody. The film is directed by Karyn Kusama and stars Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody and Johnny Simmons. Fox portrays Jennifer Check, a newly possessed teenage serial killer specializing in "offing" her male classmates as best friend "Needy" Lesnicki, portrayed by Seyfried, strives to stop her.

I found this movie very entertaining and undemanding as far as concentration on the plot is concerned. College Teen Horror is the Category i give to this kind of Movie.

The film premiered at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival and was released in the United States and Canada on September 18, 2009, with an R rating in the U.S. and a 14A rating in Canada. The title is a reference to a song from Hole's album Live Through This. Another song from the album, "Violet", is played over the end credits. As a tie-in to the film, Boom! Studios produced a Jennifer's Body graphic novel, released in August 2009.

The Movie has a great soundtrack too, which is available now on CD. I think that a great part of the marketing was aimed at sales of the soundtrack, which is not surprising seeing that the Movie industry now has to look to other markets to keep in the game (such as Video games of Movies and Movies of Video games). This is due to the amount of Pirated DVDs and illegal downloads being so high that the Film Industry needs to look to other channels to keep their takings up.

Insecure bookworm Anita "Needy" Lesnicki (Amanda Seyfried) and arrogant, popular flag girl Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) have been best friends "since the sandbox" and wear matching heart-shaped lockets engraved with the initials BFF to signify this bond, although they share little in common. One night, Jennifer insists Needy come to a local dive bar to attend a concert by indie rock band Low Shoulder, where Jennifer soon develops a crush on their lead singer, Nikolai Wolf (Adam Brody). While flirting with Jennifer, Nikolai concludes that she is a virgin.

This is a lighthearted and Fun movie to watch if you like Teen College Humor and stuff like Final destination, Twilight, and the like, then you will like this movie. Just don't expect too much from the movie and enjoy the American College teen Horror Movie Experience.

As the band begins to perform one of their songs, a suspicious fire engulfs the bar. Needy saves a somewhat intoxicated and shocked Jennifer, who, against Needy's wishes, ends up leaving with the band; they take her into the woods, where she learns that the band is desperate for wealth and fame, resorting to making her their sacrifice to Satan, exchanging a virgin for their success. However, as Jennifer is in fact not a virgin when Nikolai murders her, a demonic spirit takes over her body with all her memories still intact after Nikolai and the band leave. Later that evening, Jennifer appears at Needy's house, covered in blood. She resists attacking a terrified Needy and instead roams into the kitchen, where she tries to eat food from the refrigerator; unable to digest the matter, she vomits a trail of black ferromagnetic fluid. She then leaves the house in a hurry as Needy calls after her. Needy, left frightened and alone, believes something horrible has happened to Jennifer.

2010 is a 1984 science fiction film released by MGM and directed by Peter Hyams. Its full title is given on posters and DVD releases as 2010: The Year We Make Contact, although the subtitle does not appear in the film itself. It is based on the novel 2010: Odyssey Two by Arthur C. Clarke. The film, like the novel, is a sequel to the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Plot;
The film is set nine years after the mysterious failure of the Discovery mission to Jupiter, depicted in 2001: A Space Odyssey, in which four astronauts died and another mysteriously disappeared while investigating an alien monolith orbiting Jupiter. Dr. Heywood Floyd (Roy Scheider, taking over from William Sylvester who played the role in 2001) - who was Director of the National Council on Astronautics during the Discovery mission - has been made the scapegoat, and has since left the NCA to become a university chancellor. Amid growing friction between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, both nations are preparing to send missions to Jupiter to determine what happened. The Soviets suggest a joint mission: their ship Leonov will be ready one year ahead of the American ship, Discovery 2, but they need Americans to help investigate the HAL 9000's American-made computer systems.

The U.S. government reluctantly agrees, as recent data shows Discovery is slated to crash into Jupiter's moon Io within years because its orbit is decaying. Floyd feels responsible for the failure of the mission and volunteers for the mission himself. He recruits two colleagues: Dr. Walter Curnow (John Lithgow), an engineer and the original designer of Discovery, and Dr. Chandra (Bob Balaban), creator of the HAL 9000 computer. Their mission is threefold: to find the reason for the Discovery mission's failure, to investigate the Monolith in orbit around the planet, and to find answers for David Bowman's disappearance. Two years ago Tim Thomas (Will Smith) was in a car crash, which was caused by him using his mobile phone; seven people died: six strangers and his fianc�e, Sarah Jenson (Robinne Lee).

Movie opens with Tim (now using his bother's name -Ben) making a 911 call to report a suicide - his. Then we see Ben at the IRS building researching. Next his brother calls him, Ben asks if he's smoking again - he says no. His brother asks if he took anything while he was staying there, Ben says no but he remembers giving him something.

A year after the crash, and having quit his job as an aeronautical engineer, Tim donates a lung lobe to his brother, Ben (Michael Ealy), an IRS employee. Six months later he donates part of his liver to a child services worker named Holly (Judyann Elder). After that he begins searching for more candidates to receive donations. He finds George (Bill Smitrovich), a junior hockey coach, and donates a kidney to him, and then donates bone marrow to a young boy named Nicholas (Quintin Kelley).

Tim steals his brother's IRS credentials, so he can check out candidates for his two final donations. The first candidate is Ezra Turner (Woody Harrelson), a blind meat salesman who plays the piano. Tim calls Ezra Turner and harasses him at work to check if he is quick to anger. Ezra remains calm and Tim decides he is worthy. The second candidate is Charles, who runs a nursing home. Tim decides Charles is not a worthy candidate when he denies an elderly patient a bath.......
