A bit of an oldie now where if you notice, Snipes plays a character that isn't always "perfectly cool" (as he later came to do when he became a lot more famous). in this film there are a couple of scenes where he makes a bit of a tit out of himself, lending a refreshing comical aspect to the otherwise relatively serious plot.It is about the kidnapping of a witness to an extremely important dea drug case against the mafia. Wesley Snipes plays a cop who has to transport and protect the witness, who is in danger of being murdered because of his incriminating statement against the mafia.whilst in the aircraft on their way to the court, the plane is hijacked by a team of skydiving criminals,and wesleys brother, (also a cop) is killed in the skirmish that transpires...
Wesley then gets his badge and gun confiscated and retired from duty, but he decides to investigate the matter on his own, because the authorities believe the gang to have died in the plane as the fuselage was blown open and people were sucked out.No one believes that it is possible for someone to skydive out of a jumbo jet at 38 thousand feet (except for wesley).
Wesley sets out to avenge his brother by hanging out in the skydiving community and taking a skydiving training course
